Marshal.UnsafeAddrOfPinnedArrayElement Method

Gets the address of the element at the specified index inside the specified array.

[Visual Basic]
Public Shared Function UnsafeAddrOfPinnedArrayElement( _
   ByVal arr As Array, _
   ByVal index As Integer _
) As IntPtr
public static IntPtr UnsafeAddrOfPinnedArrayElement(
 Array arr,
 int index
public: static IntPtr UnsafeAddrOfPinnedArrayElement(
 Array* arr,
 int index
public static function UnsafeAddrOfPinnedArrayElement(
   arr : Array,
 index : int
) : IntPtr;

The Array containing the desired element.
The index in the arr parameter of the desired element.

Return Value

The address of index inside arr.

The array must be pinned using a GCHandle before it is passed to this method. For maximum performance, this method does no validation on the array passed to it; this can result in unexpected behavior.

Note   This method uses SecurityAction.LinkDemand to prevent it from being called from untrusted code; only the immediate caller is required to have SecurityPermissionAttribute.UnmanagedCode permission. If your code can be called from partially trusted code, do not pass user input to Marshal class methods without validation. For important limitations on using the LinkDemand member, see Demand vs. LinkDemand.
