Char.Equals Method (Char)

Returns a value indicating whether this instance is equal to the specified Char object.

Namespace: System
Assembly: mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)

public bool Equals (
	char obj
)
public final boolean Equals (
	char obj
)
public final function Equals (
	obj : char
) : boolean
Not applicable.

Parameters

obj

A Char object to compare to this instance.

Return Value

true if the value parameter equals the value of this instance; otherwise, false.

This method implements the System.IEquatable interface, and performs slightly better than Char.Equals because it does not need to unbox the obj parameter.
