Convert::ToInt32 Method (Object)

Converts the value of the specified object to a 32-bit signed integer.

Namespace:  System
Assembly:  mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)

static int ToInt32(
	Object^ value

Type: System::Object
An object that implements the IConvertible interface, or nullptr.

Return Value

Type: System::Int32
A 32-bit signed integer equivalent to value, or zero if value is nullptr.

value is not in an appropriate format.

value does not implement the IConvertible interface.

The conversion is not supported.

value represents a number that is less than Int32::MinValue or greater than Int32::MaxValue.

If value is not nullptr, this method wraps a call to the IConvertible::ToInt32 implementation of the underlying type of value.

The following example attempts to convert each element in an object array to an integer.

No code example is currently available or this language may not be supported.
