Namespace:   System.Collections.Generic
Assembly:  mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)

ReadOnly Property Keys As ICollection(Of TKey)

Property Value

Type: System.Collections.Generic.ICollection(Of TKey)

An ICollection(Of T) containing the keys of the object that implements IDictionary(Of TKey, TValue).

The order of the keys in the returned ICollection(Of T) is unspecified, but it is guaranteed to be the same order as the corresponding values in the ICollection(Of T) returned by the Values property.

The following code example shows how to enumerate keys alone using the Keys property.

This code is part of a larger example that can be compiled and executed. See System.Collections.Generic.IDictionary(Of TKey, TValue).

' To get the keys alone, use the Keys property.
icoll = openWith.Keys

' The elements of the ValueCollection are strongly typed
' with the type that was specified for dictionary values.
Console.WriteLine()
For Each s As String In icoll
    Console.WriteLine("Key = {0}", s)
Next s
