You used the function CreateObject to create an object on a remote machine, but the call failed. This occurred because the remote server was either not reachable, or did not contain the specified class.

To correct this error

  • Verify that the remote server name is correct.

  • Verify that the remote server has DCOM enabled.

  • Using the application dcomcnfg, verify that security permissions allow the object to be created.
