Dryad Project Concluded

Thank you for your interest in Dryad, DSC, and DryadLINQ, the family of technologies later referred to as LINQ to HPC. We appreciate all of the feedback we received on these technologies via this DevLabs release.

As outlined in this blog post, the High Performance Computing (HPC) team will not be taking LINQ to HPC forward beyond the preview included in the Windows Azure HPC Scheduler and HPC Pack 2008 R2 Service Pack 3. In line with the announcement in October 2011 at the PASS conference, subsequent efforts will focus on bringing Apache Hadoop to both Windows Server and Windows Azure.
