Search string too long or complex

Visual Basic pattern-matching capabilities aren't unlimited. This error has the following cause and solution:

• The search string specified is too long, or the combination of wildcard character specifications can't be understood. Reduce the length or complexity of the search string and retry the search.

For additional information, select the item in question and press F1 (in Windows) or HELP (on the Macintosh).
