Instructions

The gadget samples can be downloaded as a standalone package from the Microsoft Download Center or as part of the Windows SDK. If you install the Windows SDK and do not modify the standard install location, the gadget samples can be found at %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\[version number]\Samples\winui\Sidebar\.

Note  These samples demonstrate specific features of the Windows Vista Sidebar and, consequently, do not necessarily follow application development best practices.
