Writes the text representation of the specified object to the standard output stream.

The value to write, or null.


An I/O error occurred.


The HostProtectionAttribute attribute applied to this type or member has the following Resources property value: UI. The HostProtectionAttribute does not affect desktop applications (which are typically started by double-clicking an icon, typing a command, or entering a URL in a browser). If value is null, nothing is written and no exception is thrown. Otherwise, the ToString method of value is called to produce its string representation, and the resulting string is written to the standard output stream.

The following code example illustrates the use of the Write method.
