Manufacturer Property
Specifies the name of the manufacturer of an application or component, usually the name of the company that developed it. The default value is the company name entered during Visual Studio setup, visible in the This product licensed to field of the About dialog box (available from the Help menu).
The Manufacturer property is usually the same as the Author property; if the Manufacturer is Microsoft Corporation, the Author should also be Microsoft Corporation.
Remarks
To access the ManufacturerUrl property, select the Setup project in Solution Explorer, then in the Properties Window, scroll down to Manufacturer property, and enter the name of the manufacturer.
The Manufacturer property is displayed in the Publisher field of the Support Info dialog box, accessible from the Add/Remove Programs dialog box. It is also used as a part of the default installation path (C:\Program Files\Manufacturer\Product Name) displayed during installation.
