DataGridColumnStyle.Abort(Int32) Method

Definition

When overridden in a derived class, initiates a request to interrupt an edit procedure.

protected public:
 abstract void Abort(int rowNum);
protected internal abstract void Abort (int rowNum);
abstract member Abort : int -> unit
Protected Friend MustOverride Sub Abort (rowNum As Integer)

Parameters

rowNum
Int32

The row number upon which an operation is being interrupted.

Remarks

The Abort method is used by the DataGrid when the Commit method of the DataGridColumnStyle method returns false. In that case, the column value is rolled back to its previous value.

The DataGridColumnStyle must end any editing operations before returning. Use the Abort method to accomplish this.

The EndEdit method of the System.Windows.Forms.DataGrid control indirectly invokes Abort if its ShouldAbort parameter is set to true.
