PasswordRecovery.TitleTextStyle Property

Note: This property is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Gets a reference to a collection of style properties that define the appearance of title text that appears in the PasswordRecovery control.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)

public TableItemStyle TitleTextStyle { get; }
/** @property */
public TableItemStyle get_TitleTextStyle ()

public function get TitleTextStyle () : TableItemStyle

Property Value

A reference to a TableItemStyle that contains properties that define the appearance of title text in the PasswordRecovery control.

The TitleTextStyle property defines the appearance of view title text in the PasswordRecovery control. This property is read-only; however, you can set the properties of the Style object it returns. You can set these properties declaratively in the form Property-Subproperty, where Subproperty represents a property of the Style class (for example, TitleTextStyle-ForeColor). You can also set the properties programmatically in the form Property.Subproperty (for example, TitleTextStyle.ForeColor).

Common settings include custom background color, text color, and font properties.

The style settings for the TitleTextStyle property are merged with the style settings for the PasswordRecovery control. Any settings made in the TitleTextStyle property override the corresponding settings in properties of the PasswordRecovery control.

The following PasswordRecovery properties are overridden by TitleTextStyle settings:

When you use templates to define the appearance of the PasswordRecovery control, the TitleTextStyle property has no effect.

The following code example uses the TitleTextStyle property to change the appearance of the UserNameTitleText and QuestionTitleText properties.

<%@ page language="C#" %>

<script runat="server">

  void PasswordRecovery1_UserLookupError(object sender, EventArgs e)
  {
    PasswordRecovery1.UserNameTitleText = "Try again";
    PasswordRecovery1.TitleTextStyle.ForeColor = System.Drawing.Color.Red;
  }

  void PasswordRecovery1_AnswerLookupError(object sender, EventArgs e)
  {
    PasswordRecovery1.QuestionTitleText = "Try again";
    PasswordRecovery1.TitleTextStyle.ForeColor = System.Drawing.Color.Red;
  }

</script>

<html>
<body>
<form runat="server">
  <asp:passwordrecovery id="PasswordRecovery1" runat="server"
    questiontitletext="Password Confirmation Question"
    usernametitletext="Get a new password" OnUserLookupError="PasswordRecovery1_UserLookupError" OnAnswerLookupError="PasswordRecovery1_AnswerLookupError">
    <titletextstyle
      font-names="Arial"
      font-bold="True"
      forecolor="White"
      backcolor="Gray">
    </titletextstyle>
  </asp:passwordrecovery>

</form>
</body>
</html>
