Determines the postback event options for the FormView control.

buttonControl

The button control that posted the page back to the server.

A PostBackOptions that contains the postback event options for the FormView control.

ArgumentNullException

The object contained in the buttonControl parameter is a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

The System.Web.UI.WebControls.IPostBackContainer.GetPostBackOptions method is a helper method called by the FormView control to create a PostBackOptions object that contains the postback event options for the control. The PostBackOptions object is commonly used as a parameter for the GetPostBackEventReference method.
