Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)
When a WebControlAdapter object is attached to a WebControl object, the .NET Framework calls on the adapter life-cycle methods instead of the control methods. For more information, see ControlAdapter.Notes to Inheritors When you inherit from the WebControlAdapter class, at a minimum, you should implement a Control property to return a strongly-typed instance of the control.
