MessagePropertyFilter.AuthenticationProviderType Property

Gets or sets a value that indicates whether to retrieve Message.AuthenticationProviderType property information when receiving or peeking a message.

Namespace: System.Messaging
Assembly: System.Messaging (in system.messaging.dll)

public bool AuthenticationProviderType { get; set; }
/** @property */
public boolean get_AuthenticationProviderType ()

/** @property */
public void set_AuthenticationProviderType (boolean value)

public function get AuthenticationProviderType () : boolean

public function set AuthenticationProviderType (value : boolean)

Property Value

true to receive Message.AuthenticationProviderType information; otherwise, false. The default is false.

The AuthenticationProviderType property of the Message class specifies the type of cryptographic provider used to generate the digital signature of the message. AuthenticationProviderType is typically used when working with foreign queues.

A foreign queue exists in a queuing system other than Microsoft Message Queuing. Microsoft Message Queuing communicates with such queues through a connector application.

The following code example demonstrates the use of the AuthenticationProviderType property.

// Set the queue's MessageReadPropertyFilter property to enable the
// message's AuthenticationProviderType property.
queue.MessageReadPropertyFilter.AuthenticationProviderType = true;

// Peek at the message. Time out after ten seconds in case the message
// was not delivered.
orderMessage = queue.Peek(TimeSpan.FromSeconds(10.0));

// Display the value of the message's AuthenticationProviderType
// property.
Console.WriteLine("Message.AuthenticationProviderType: {0}",
    orderMessage.AuthenticationProviderType);

// Set the queue's MessageReadPropertyFilter property to enable the
// message's AuthenticationProviderType property.
queue.get_MessageReadPropertyFilter().set_AuthenticationProviderType(true);
// Peek at the message. Time out after ten seconds in case the message
// was not delivered.
orderMessage = queue.Peek(TimeSpan.FromSeconds(10.0));
// Display the value of the message's AuthenticationProviderType
// property.
Console.WriteLine("Message.AuthenticationProviderType: {0}",
    System.Convert.ToString(orderMessage.get_AuthenticationProviderType()));
