PointConverter Class

Converts a Point object from one data type to another. Access this class through the TypeDescriptor object.

public class PointConverter : TypeConverter

The following code example demonstrates how to use the PointConverter and the Subtraction operator. This example is designed to be used with Windows Forms. Paste this code into a form and call the ShowPointConverter method when handling the form's Paint event, passing e as PaintEventArgs .

    // Create the PointConverter.
    System.ComponentModel.TypeConverter converter = 

    Point point1 = (Point) converter.ConvertFromString("200, 200");

    // Use the subtraction operator to get a second point.
    Point point2 = point1 - new Size(190, 190);

    // Draw a line between the two points.
    e.Graphics.DrawLine(Pens.Black, point1, point2);

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
