How to Change the Local Directory for a Business Data Project

For the latest version of Commerce Server 2007 Help, see the Microsoft Web site.

This topic provides steps for changing the local directory for a business data project in Commerce Server staging. You change the local directory to specify a different directory for storing the business data files that you want to stage. Commerce Server staging copies the business data from the database to this local directory before it deploys the data to the destination.

To change the local directory for a business data project

  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2007 , and the click Commerce Server Staging.

  2. In Microsoft Management Console (MMC), in the left pane, expand Commerce Server Staging, expand <server name>, and then click Projects.

  3. In the right pane, right-click the project that you want to change, and then click Properties.

  4. In the Project Properties dialog box, on the Project tab, in the Project Local Directory box, type the path of the new local directory or click Browse to move to that directory, and then click OK.
