Creating a Windows NT Repair Disk

The Standard OS configuration provides the Repair Disk utility that you can use to create a Windows NT repair disk. On the repair disk, this utility stores the portion of the Windows NT registry that represents a functional configuration.

Because a Windows NT Embedded target device does not contain this portion of the registry, you must construct the registry entries when you create the repair disk. To do this, invoke the utility as follows:

C:> RDISK.EXE -S

Important   Using the Repair Disk utility, clicking the Update Repair Info button does not create the registry information to repair Windows NT Embedded.
