Creating a New Component Definition File

When you open Component Designer, a new component definition file opens. If you are working in an existing component definition file and want to open a new one, use the following procedure:

To create a new component definition file

  1. In Component Designer, on the File menu, click New.
  2. In the new window, on the File menu, click Save As.
  3. In the Look in text box, select the location for the new component definition file.
  4. In the File name text box or list box, enter the file name for the new component definition file, and then click Save.
