NSInstance.Initialize Method (String, String, String)

Initializes an instance of the NSInstance class with a login name and password for SQL Server Authentication.

Parameters

  • instanceName
    The name of the Notification Services instance.
  • sqlUser
    The login name to use for SQL Server Authentication.
  • sqlPassword
    The password for the sqlUser login.

Remarks

New:14 April 2006

The Initialize method is used in conjunction with the parameter-less constructor and SQL Server Authentication to enable COM interoperability. It must be called before any other property or method is called on an NSInstance object created with the parameter-less constructor.

Thread Safety

Any public static (Shared in Microsoft Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
