System View Window Terminology
In System Designer, you can design application systems by dragging from the System View window to add applications and systems to the system diagram. In Deployment Designer, you can define deployment for a system by dragging its member applications from the System View window and binding them to logical servers on the deployment diagram.

Root application system |
Refers to the top-level application system for which you are defining and evaluating deployment. The System View window displays all applications in the system, including the full expansion of all systems in the root system. For more information, see the following topics: |
Bound application |
Refers to an application in the system that has been bound to a specific logical server on the deployment diagram. |
Unbound application |
Refers to an application in the system that is not yet bound to a logical server on the deployment diagram. |
