TF31002: Unable to connect to this Team Foundation Server {0}. Team Foundation Server URL: {1}.

This is a generic error message displayed when Team Explorer cannot connect to Team Foundation Server and no error message was returned by a specific component within Team Foundation Server.

The likely causes of this problem are:

  • The server name, port number, or protocol (http/https) is incorrect.

  • The password is expired or incorrect.

  • The Team Foundation server is not available.

  • The network is unavailable.

  • The Team Explorer client is a pre-release version and needs to be updated to the final-release version.

The procedures below will help you correct the cause.

To correct this error
