How to: View a Build Report

Team Foundation Build uses build types to manage the conditions under which a single solution or a set of solutions are built. Before viewing a build summary report on a build type, you must run a build, for more information, see How to: Run a Build on a Build Type. You can view build summary reports on build types using Team Explorer. For more information, see Using Team Explorer.

Required Permissions

To perform this procedure, you must have the Team Foundation Server View project-level information permission set to Allow. For more information, see Team Foundation Server Permissions.

To view a build type report

  1. In Team Explorer, locate Team Builds and double-click the All Build Types node to display the Team Build Browser. Team Build Browser contains a summary appears that displays the completed and in-progress builds.

  2. In the summary report, double-click the build that you want to view. The build report displays its own tab with the name and version number of the build.
