RuleOwner Property

This feature will be removed in a future version of Microsoft SQL Server. Avoid using this feature in new development work, and plan to modify applications that currently use this feature.

The RuleOwner property returns the name of the Microsoft SQL Server database user who owns the rule bound to the referenced column or user-defined data type.

String

Read-only

HRESULT GetRuleOwner(SQLDMO_LPBSTR pRetVal);
ms132962.note(en-US,SQL.90).gifNote:
SQL Distributed Management Objects (SQL-DMO) strings are always returned as OLE BSTR objects. A C/C++ application obtains a reference to the string. The application must release the reference using SysFreeString.

If the referenced column or user-defined data type has no rule bound to it, the RuleOwner property returns an empty string.
