ReplicationDatabase.LogReaderAgentExists Property

Gets whether or not the Log Reader Agent has been created for the publication database.

Namespace: Microsoft.SqlServer.Replication
Assembly: Microsoft.SqlServer.Rmo (in microsoft.sqlserver.rmo.dll)

public bool LogReaderAgentExists { get; }
/** @property */
public boolean get_LogReaderAgentExists ()

public function get LogReaderAgentExists () : boolean

Property Value

A Boolean value that specifies whether or not the Log Reader Agent for the publication database has been created. If true, the Log Reader Agent exists. If false, the Log Reader Agent has not yet been created.

Exception typeCondition

When the database does not exist on the server.

When the Log Reader Agent has not been upgraded to the SQL Server 2005 replication agent security model. For more information, see Security Considerations for Replication.

The LogReaderAgentExists property can be retrieved by members of the sysadmin fixed server role and by members of the db_owner fixed database role of the publication database.

The LogReaderAgentExists property is available with SQL Server 2005 only.

Calling LogReaderAgentExists is equivalent to executing the sp_helplogreader_agent (Transact-SQL) stored procedure.

This namespace, class, or member is supported only in version 2.0 of the .NET Framework.
