Manifest.ReadOnly Property

 

Gets or sets a value indicating whether the manifest is operating in read-only or read-write mode.

MSBuild is now included in Visual Studio instead of the .NET Framework. You can use MSBuild 12.0 side-by-side with versions previously deployed with the .NET Framework.For more information, see What's New in MSBuild 12.0.

Property Value

Type: System.Boolean

A Boolean value indicating whether the manifest is operating in read-only or read-write mode.

If you only need to read a manifest, set this flag to True. If you need to write a new manifest, set this flag to False. The default is False. This property provides additional context for the manifest generator, and affects how some error messages are reported.
