Comment (Command Line)

Visual Studio 2005

Changes the previously entered comment for a specific version of a file or project. This command is available only from the command line. For definitions of the command options, see Command Options in this Help system.

ss Comment <items> [-C] [-H] [-I-] [-N] [-O] [-V] [-Y] [-?]

You must have the Add/Rename/Delete project right to use this command.

After you type the Comment command, you are prompted for the new comment. Alternatively, you can specify it on the command line using the -C option.

Changes the comment for version 5 of Test.c:

ss Comment TEST.C -V5

Changes the comment for the most recent version of Test.c:

ss Comment TEST.C

Changes the comment for the project TESTDATA:

ss Comment $/TESTDATA
