Validating End User Applications of DDEX 

These validation tests help ensure correct functioning of an end-user implementation of DDEX extensibility features that you have provided.

Validation Tests

Data Source Wizard Drag-and-Drop Test

Validates performance of the Data Sources Wizard for creating a data-source connection to a third-party data source.

Smart Tasks Test

Validates performance in an end-user application of Smart Tasks associated with Smart Tags that are exposed by controls bound to third-party data source objects that are dragged to a Visual Studio designer surface.

Data Set Designer Drag-and-Drop Test

Validates that third-party data source objects are successfully dropped onto the Data Set Designer from the Visual Studio Server Explorer window

Data Set Designer/Table Adapter Wizard Test with SQL Statements

Extends the Data Set Designer Drag-and-Drop Test by adding manipulation of SQL statements to data-source objects dropped onto the DataSet designer from the Visual Studio Server Explorer.

Data Set Designer/Table Adapter Wizard Test with New Stored Procedures

Extends the Data Set Designer Drag-and-Drop Test by adding manipulation of newly created stored procedures to data-source objects dropped onto the DataSet designer from the Visual Studio Server Explorer.

Data Set Designer/Table Adapter Wizard Test with Existing Stored Procedures

Extends the Data Set Designer Drag-and-Drop Test by adding manipulation of existing stored procedures to data-source objects dropped onto the DataSet designer from the Visual Studio Server Explorer.
