IVsLibrary.UpdateCounter Method
Returns the current change counter for the library and is used to indicate that the library contents have changed.

pCurUpdate
Type: System.UInt32%[out] Pointer to a current update counter.
Return Value
Type: System.Int32
If the method succeeds, it returns S_OK. If it fails, it returns an error code.

Increment pCurUpdate within code any time an update is made to a library. The environment checks this value to determine if it is necessary to re-query a library object.
