Entities and Entity Limits

Customer

Defines a customer; all advertising activity is organized by customer.

Account

Organizes campaigns and identifies the payment instrument used to settle the account. Each customer can have one or more accounts.

Campaign

A collection of ad groups that share one budget and can run for a specified duration. Each account can include one or more campaigns.

Ad Group

A collection of individual advertisements. Separate ad groups within a campaign help distinguish ads in meaningful ways. For example, a "Holiday Toy Promotion" campaign might contain ad groups named "Toy Plane Ads" and "Doll Ads." Campaigns can have one or more ad groups.

Ad

An individual advertisement that gets served to users. An ad group consists of one or more ads.

Keyword

A word or phrase that when matched with a user search query causes an ad in the same ad group to be served.

Entity Limits

The following are the default entity limits for a standard user. For your specific limits, contact your account manager. Note that these limits are subject to change.

Note that maximum combination of criterions and keywords per ad group is 10,000. For example, if the ad group contains 6,000 keywords, the maximum number of criterions that you could add is 4,000.

Note that maximum combination of criterions and keywords per account is 100,000. For example, if the account contains 60,000 keywords, the maximum number of criterions that you could add is 40,000.

Keywords per ad group
