Simplified HORM Setup

Starting with Windows XP Embedded SP2 FP 2007, setup and operation of HORM has been greatly simplified and no longer requires resmany.dat files for HORM setup.

A new option has been added to the Target Designer user interface which will automatically enable HORM in the image. No other steps are needed.

Support for managing HORM at run-time has also been added. The ewfmgr command line tool now provides options for activating and deactivating HORM. In addition, three new API functions have been added to the EWF API.

HORM must be disabled in order to apply system patches. The new ewfmgr command line options and HORM specific API functions allow users to deactivate HORM, make changes to the system, and then reactivate HORM. This functionality is useful in servicing scenarios where users need to apply a patch or an update to the system.
