HTML Help Engine
The HTML Help Engine component is the standard Help system for the Microsoft Windows platform. This component includes the run-time ActiveX controls and executable files that are used to display compiled Help (.chm) files. A compiled Help file can be displayed as a stand-alone application, or as an integrated feature in an application by using menus, dialog boxes, or the F1 key.
There are no services associated with this component.
If you are including HTML Help files for any application, you must include this component. For example, if you include Windows applications — for example, Notepad.exe and Wordpad.exe and their associated Help files — you should include this component. If you include those applications but do not include their associated Help files, this component is not needed.
The following table shows the configurable settings for this component.
|Include art and shared Help files that are required by Windows XP Help content||Selected||Specifies whether to include required art and shared Help files.|
