Secure RPC over SSL
The Secure Remote Procedure Call (RPC) over Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) component enables making remote procedure calls using the SChannel Security Support Provider Interface (SSPI) for improved authentication and enhanced privacy protection. This component is not required to make non-secured remote procedure calls. Other Secure RPC components provide different SSPI capabilities for RPC; developers generally include one or more Secure RPC components to increase the security of remote procedure calls.
