  • One of these development environments:

    VSTO 2005

    Visual Studio Team System

  • Microsoft Office 2003

When you add a chart sheet at design time as a new sheet in your Microsoft Office Excel 2003 Application project, Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Tools for the Microsoft Office System automatically creates a ChartSheet host item.

Understanding ChartSheet Host Items

The ChartSheet host item is a worksheet in Excel that contains only a chart and exposes events. Although a ChartSheet host item is a worksheet in Excel, you cannot add any controls to the chart sheet. You can place a chart as an embedded object on a worksheet using the Chart host control. For more information, see Chart Control.
