Returns edition, product level and version, build date, and copyright information for the current installation of Microsoft Azure SQL Database.
The @@VERSION results are presented as one nvarchar string, which includes the following information:
Edition- “Azure SQL Database”; followed by
Product level- “(CTP)” or “(RTM)”; followed by
Product version- “11.mm.bbbb.rr” ; followed by
Build date; followed by
An example return value is as follows: “Azure SQL Database (RTM) - 11.25.9501.0 Aug 10 2011 13:04:51 Copyright (©) Microsoft Corporation”.
You can use the SERVERPROPERTY (Azure SQL Database) function to retrieve the individual property values.
