Checking backup status

Windows Small Business Server 2003 provides backup status in two ways:

Server status reports in e-mail. This report is sent daily by default. After you run the Backup Configuration Wizard, backup status is included for each scheduled backup, and backup log files can be attached.
Manage Backup taskpad in Server Management. This taskpad provides single success or failure reporting for up to the last 10 backups. Each backup also includes a link to the corresponding log file.

Note
- If you use third-party backup software, the backup snap-in does not provide backup status. However, you can attach the log files generated by a third-party backup application to server status reports.
