StylusDevice.GetPosition Method

Gets the position of the stylus.

Namespace:  System.Windows.Input
Assembly:  PresentationCore (in PresentationCore.dll)

public Point GetPosition(
	IInputElement relativeTo
)
You cannot use methods in XAML.

Parameters

relativeTo
Type: System.Windows.IInputElement

The IInputElement to which the (x,y) coordinates are mapped.

Return Value

Type: System.Windows.Point
A Point that represents the position of the stylus, in relation to relativeTo.

ExceptionCondition
InvalidOperationException

relativeTo is neither UIElement or FrameworkContentElement.

The following example demonstrates the GetPosition method.

Point myPoint = myStylusDevice.GetPosition(myStylusDevice.Target);
textbox1.AppendText("The relative position is: (" + myPoint.X.ToString() + "," + myPoint.Y.ToString() + ")\n");
