GridView.OnDataSourceViewChanged Method (Object, EventArgs)

Raises the DataSourceViewChanged event.

Namespace:   System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly:  System.Web (in System.Web.dll)

override OnDataSourceViewChanged :
        sender:Object *
        e:EventArgs -> unit

Parameters

sender
Type: System.Object

The source of the event.

e
Type: System.EventArgs

An EventArgs that contains the event data.

The OnDataSourceViewChanged method notifies a GridView control that the underlying data source has changed and that the control should rebind. Typically, the OnDataSourceViewChanged method is called when a property of the data source view has changed.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see NIB: Raising an Event.

The OnDataSourceViewChanged method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors:

When overriding OnDataSourceViewChanged in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnDataSourceViewChanged method so that registered delegates receive the event.
