Array.IList.Contains Method

Determines whether an element is in the Array.

Parameters

  • value
    Type: System.Object
    The object to locate in the Array. The element to locate can be nulla null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) for reference types.

Return Value

Type: System.Boolean
true if value is found in the Array; otherwise, false.

The current Array is multidimensional.

Remarks

This method performs a linear search; therefore, this method is an O(n) operation, where n is ICollection.Count.

This method determines equality by calling the Object.Equals method.

This method is an O(n) operation, where n is Length.
