New-AzureStorageTable

Creates storage tables.

New-AzureStorageTable [-Name] <String> [-Context <AzureStorageContext> ] [ <CommonParameters>]




 

This topic describes the cmdlet in the .6.19 version of the Windows Azure PowerShell module. To find out the version of the module you're using, from the Windows Azure PowerShell console, type (get-module azure).version.

Creates the storage tables associated with the storage account in Windows Azure.

 

-Context<AzureStorageContext>

Specifies the storage context. To create it, you can use the New-AzureStorageContext cmdlet.

The input type is the type of the objects that you can pipe to the cmdlet.

Outputs

The output type is the type of the objects that the cmdlet emits.

 

Example 1

This example creates a storage table with a name of ‘tableabc’.


C:\PS>New-AzureStorageTable tableabc

Example 2

This example creates multiple tables. It uses the Split method of the .NET String class and then passes the names on the pipeline. For more information about this method, see String.Split Method


C:\PS>"table1 table2 table3".split() | New-AzureStorageTable
