New-AzureServiceProject

Creates the required files and configuration (sometimes referred to as scaffolding) for a new service.

 

Parameter Set: Default
New-AzureServiceProject [-ServiceName] <String> [ <CommonParameters>]




 

The New-AzureServiceProject cmdlet creates the required files and configuration for a new Windows Azure service in the current directory.

 

-ServiceName<String>

Specifies the name of the service. It determines the first section of the hostname for your service (for example, name.cloudapp.net), and the directory that will contain your service. The name can contain only letters, digits, and the dash character (-).

This cmdlet supports the common parameters: -Verbose, -Debug, -ErrorAction, -ErrorVariable, -OutBuffer, and -OutVariable. For more information, see  about_CommonParameters (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkID=113216).

Inputs

The input type is the type of the objects that you can pipe to the cmdlet.

Outputs

The output type is the type of the objects that the cmdlet emits.

 

 

This example creates scaffolding for a new Windows Azure service named “MyService1” in the current directory.
