Create a storage account
Create a storage account to store non-relational data in the Windows Azure Blob, Table, and Queue services. You can create 20 storage accounts for your subscription. Each can store 200 TB of data within a geographic region.
You'll need to make a couple of key decisions:
Affinity group vs. region - An affinity group can improve service performance by locating computer workloads in the same data center or near the target user audience, and no egress charges are incurred. If that's beneficial, assign an affinity group instead of a region. More about affinity groups
Replication – You have three options for replicating your data. By default, your storage account is created with geographically redundant storage (GRS), which replicates your data to a secondary location within the same region. If it is enabled for your subscription, you can also select read-access geo-redundant storage (RA-GRS), which provides read access to the data in the secondary replica. You can also opt for locally redundant storage (LRS), which replicates your data only within a single location, at a discount. Be aware that if you choose LRS, then opting for GRS or RA-GRS in the future will incur a one-time fee to replicate your existing data to a secondary location.
