Checks whether the table exists.

Parameters

tableName

Type: System.String

The table name.

Return Value

Type: System.Boolean

true if table exists; otherwise, false.

The following code example checks whether a table exists.

public static void CheckTableExistence(CloudStorageAccount storageAccount)
{
    // Create service client for credentialed access to the Table service.
    CloudTableClient tableClient = new CloudTableClient(storageAccount.TableEndpoint.ToString(),
        storageAccount.Credentials);

    if (tableClient.DoesTableExist("Products"))
    {
        Console.WriteLine("Table exists.");
    }
    else
    {
        Console.WriteLine("Table does not exist.");
    }
}
