Introduction to WPA
Windows® Performance Analyzer (WPA) can analyze all performance aspects of the Windows operating system. WPA opens event trace log (ETL) files that are created by using Windows® Performance Recorder (WPR) or the Платформа оценки. WPA uses graphs and tables to present the collected data for analysis. This allows you to see system activity, computation, storage, memory usage, and the state of the system power source, and thereby helps you to find the root cause of identified issues. Issues are displayed in the user interface (UI) together with recommended solutions.
WPA provides a large selection of graphs and data tables. You can view graphs and their associated data tables together or separately. You can zoom in to a time interval to view very fine detail. All graphs that are open on one Analysis tab share the same timeline. However, you can open multiple Analysis tabs for the same recording.
When you open WPA from the Платформа оценки, you can see a list of issues that the assessment identifies in the Issues window. When you click an issue, details and a recommended solution display in the Details window.
You can enable or disable types of items in the whole graph and its table, or just under a specified item. You can also select a row or rows, and you can filter out everything except that selection in both the graph and the data table. You can also filter data by selecting columns. You can create custom filters and presets.
Data tables have full-text search capabilities. You can copy cells, rows, or selections to insert in a document.
