Remove-AzureVM

Removes a Windows Azure virtual machine.

Remove-AzureVM [-ServiceName] <String> [-Name] <String> [ <CommonParameters>]




 

This topic describes the cmdlet in the .6.19 version of the Windows Azure PowerShell module. To find out the version of the module you're using, from the Windows Azure PowerShell console, type (get-module azure).version.

The Remove-AzureVM cmdlet deletes a Windows Azure virtual machine. This process doesn’t delete the underlying .vhd files of the disks mounted on that virtual machine.

Specifies the name of the virtual machine being removed.

Example 1

This command removes the "MyVM" virtual machine running in the "MySvc1" service.
