O exemplo de código a seguir demonstra como alterar o estado de recolhimento de um TreeView para que todos os nós verificados fiquem visíveis. Primeiro, todos os nós são expandidos e um manipulador é adicionado para o BeforeCollapse evento. Em seguida, todos os nós são recolhidos. O BeforeCollapse manipulador de eventos determina se um determinado nó tem nós filho que são verificados. Se um nó tiver verificado filhos, o colapso será cancelado para esse nó. Para permitir que o nó padrão seja recolhido quando o sinal de subtração ao lado de um nó for clicado, o BeforeCollapse manipulador de eventos será removido.

Esse comportamento também pode ser implementado tratando o BeforeExpand evento, conforme ilustrado no exemplo desse tópico.
