This paper provides recommendations and guidance on how to acquire and enable .NET Framework 3.5 in Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012. Windows 8 includes the .NET Framework 4.5, however some applications require the .NET Framework 3.5. This paper describes how Feature on Demand works to allow you to automatically acquire and enable the .NET Framework for legacy applications.
