Dashboard Help

Welcome to the dashboard for both hardware and desktop app development. You can certify your devices and software for the Microsoft logo here and take advantage of other services.

Before you can use the dashboard, your company must be registered and have a Microsoft Authenticode Certificate. You must then sign in with a Microsoft account and associate yourself with your company.

To see a list of frequently asked questions about the dashboard, go to the Windows Certification Program for Hardware FAQ.

The Windows Certification Program for Hardware and Software

When you create products that become certified by the Windows Certification Program, you give customers additional confidence in your product, which can potentially increase your market share.

After you've developed and tested your product, you can submit it for certification. If the certification program approves your product, you can then display the Windows logo on your product.

Additional services available through the dashboard

In addition to submitting your hardware and software products for certification, you can use the following services on the dashboard website:

Service How you can use it

Bug management

If you encounter Windows-related bugs during product testing, you can submit them to Microsoft for diagnosis and resolution. You can also track bugs on your products during the Windows cycle filed by Microsoft.

Device metadata

When you create a package in the Windows® Hardware Certification Kit (Windows HCK), you can include device metadata, like an image of your product. You can also change the device metadata or add additional device metadata through the Device metadata page on the dashboard.

Driver distribution

When you create a hardware package in the Windows HCK for submission, you can also include drivers to be distributed with your device. If you need to update or replace your drivers after submission, you can use the Driver distribution page on the dashboard.

Reports

You can review the performance of your published products and inform your users of fixes by using the reports that are presented on the Reports page of the Dashboard.

Remote debugging

The Remote debugging service can be downloaded from the dashboard. It allows you to troubleshoot issues remotely by using Kernel Debugger with Microsoft and other companies.

Administration

You can manage user profiles and permissions, as well as review and manage legal agreements, on the Administration page of the dashboard.
