SpeechRecognizerSettings.EndSilenceTimeout property

Applies to Windows Phone only

Gets and sets the time interval that a speech recognizer will wait to finalize a recognition operation, after speech has ended.

Syntax

public:
property TimeSpan EndSilenceTimeout {
   TimeSpan get();
   void set (TimeSpan value);
}

Property value

Type: System.TimeSpan [.NET] | Windows::Foundation::TimeSpan [C++]

The time interval during which the speech recognizer will wait to finalize the recognition operation, after speech has finished and only silence is being received as input.

Remarks

InitialSilenceTimeout and EndSilenceTimeout both relate to silence, but have different uses. While EndSilenceTimeout applies if speech input has already occurred, InitialSilenceTimeout applies if no speech input is received and there is only silence.
