A filter object is one of the first class object (FCO) types in PerformancePoint Services in Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010. Filters are stored in a SharePoint list (by default, the PerformancePoint Content List).
A supported development scenario for PerformancePoint Services is to create a custom filter. For more information, see Development Scenarios with PerformancePoint Services or PerformancePoint Services Code Sample: Custom Report, Filter, and Tabular Data Source Objects.
